Former Packers quarterback’s brother will miss the “acres of residual poontang”
After 17 years of having an NFL superstar as a younger brother, Scott Favre has announced his retirement from people giving a fuck who he is.
“I’ve had a good run, but it’s time to call it quits,” said Favre, his eyes welling up with tears. “I’m going to miss all the free drinks, the occasional dinner bill getting picked up, and of course, the acres of residual poontang. But I guess I need to move on with my life.”
Favre’s decision comes less than a week after his brother, former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre, announced his retirement from pro football. Scott Favre acted as a spokesman for his brother during the fervor of media attention that followed, but quickly recognized that it would be his last hurrah in the spotlight.
“I could see the end of the gravy train fast approaching, and figured I better get out while the gettin’ was good,” the Mississippi resident said.
Scott Favre’s retirement comes at a surprising time, with his brother coming off a record-breaking season.
“I was having people stop me on the street all last year, telling me how great my brother was, how much he inspired them, how much they loved him,” Favre says, “and I was just basking in that shit.”
But mere days after Brett Favre stepped out of the public eye, Scott Favre saw his own fame diminish.
“Bitches I had on speed dial weren’t returning my booty calls,” Favre said. “Suddenly no one cared that I was Scott fucking Favre, the big brother of a 3-time NFL MVP. No one cared that I once beat his punk ass at a game of electronic football when he was five.”
Calls to Brett Favre were not immediately returned, even when made by Scott Favre.
