NEW YORK – Just seconds after the premiere of FOX’s latest hit-turned-train wreck reality show, “Moment of Truth,” mass pandemonium erupted throughout the country – leaving thousands dead and millions given the silent treatment by friends.
The newest FOX freak show, which aired Jan. 23, featured contestants answering personal questions while connected to a lie detector.
The one that spit the truth and successfully battled their nerves of steel was awarded with a grand prize of $500,000 – in exchange for undying hatred from friends and family sold out during the show.
Questions on the first episode in yes or no fashion ranged from “If you could, would you murder your mother?” to “Do you flat-out hate black people?”
After one contestant, who was unable to shake the undeniable truth, answered yes to the question, “Do you wish Hitler was still alive?” Jews in the area – more than 13 million call New York home – rushed FOX studios with lit menorahs threatening to withdraw law and accounting services statewide.
Another contestant was shot to death mere seconds after giving a simple, yet shameful, nod to the question, “Would you vote for President Bush if he ran again in 2008?”
Unfortunately it wasn’t the only time gunshots rang throughout the studio. A male contestant took his own life after answering a tearful yes to “Do you find Dick Cheney sexually attractive?”
The questions continued to probe into the deepest, darkest secrets of the contestants – marking noticeable wounds both mentally and physically.
Viewers tuning into the show took to the streets waging a war against the network that would put such a horrible image of America on basic television.
Riots broke out as arguments escalated defending a contestant’s answer that yes, in fact, he did enjoy the light, sensual tunes of one Kenny G. Nearly 300 died as a result of said riots.
Unscathed by the countrywide death and chaos, Rupert Murdoch announced he would be picking up the show for 200 episodes over the next three years.
